Page layout
The title page should use the same font as the script which must be 12-point Courier (Courier New, or Courier Final Draft can also be used).
There are 2 parts to the title page:
- Title, by-line, and writer(s)
- Contact information
1. Title, by-line, and writer(s)
The title, by-line, and writer(s) should be centered.
Title
Write the title of your script in capital letters.
For a TV show, include the episode name and number.
By-line
The by-line 'written by' indicates that the screenplay is based on an original idea.
If the screenplay is based on an existing story or work, use 'screenplay by' instead and add the source writer's name and the nature of their contribution, e.g. 'story by', 'based on the book by', 'novel', etc.
Writers
In film credits, the word 'and' indicates a different collaboration than the ampersand ('&') symbol.
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) interprets the word 'and' to denote that the writers wrote separately and interprets the ampersand ('&') as denoting a writing team.

2. Contact information
Write your contact information, including address, phone number and email, left-justified at the bottom of the page.
